Forest Fire Prevention Training

On June 19th the OWA and MNRF will be co-hosting a one day training session focused on Forest Fire Prevention. The session will be held at the Valhalla Inn, Thunder Bay. The course will include in class training, as well as onsite training at Ontario Power Generation's Kakabeka GS. Below please find the final agenda below.

11:30 a.m - 12:30 p.m.- Examples
12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.- Lunch
1:00 p.m - Depart on route to Kakabeka GS
1:30 p.m. - Arrive Kakabeka GS
1:30 p.m. - Site Assessment using the field keys
3:00 p.m. - Depart Kakabeka GS on route to Thunder Bay

OWA Member Registration Fee: $125 + HST
Non-member $150 + HST

Registration includes, course materials, breakfast, lunch and breaks, and shuttle transportation.
